My father has cardiac cirrohsis and has to limit his protein intake to 40 grams or less a day.
How can we find menus, diets, foods to prepare for him?

A low protein diet such as 40 gram protein is a challenging one to follow. Because of its
complexity as well as other accompanying conditions/restrictions that may exist, I'd suggest
that you or your family consult a registered dietitian (RD) for a full assessment and advice
on how to plan your father's meals. The RD will be able to give you information on menus,
recipes, where to obtain low protein products, etc. You should be able to locate a dietitian
at one of the major hospitals or get a referral from your doctor. You can also locate an RD
in your area through the the American Dietetic Association (ADA) website at:
www.eatright.org.
